Finding your passions - probably not something you think about on a daily basis. But should it be? In this episode we’ll share our own personal experiences with being asked the question, “What are you passionate about?”, the simple process we use to seek out new passions, and we’ll also share some things we’ve tried that we know we’re definitely not passionate about!
Having it all. The idea or possibility of having it all might bring up a mixed bag of emotions and thoughts for you. Us, too! In this episode we’ll share our own personal experiences and thoughts on what it means to have it all, we’ll look at how the pressures of having it all might be different for men and women, and we’ll also dive into some thoughts on whether we think it’s possible.
Let’s be real: running a business isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. In this episode we’ll share our own personal experiences with running a business, including the highs, the lows, and everything in between.
Running a business isn’t for everyone, but can anyone do it? Well, turns out we have a lot to say on this topic!... by the end of this episode we decide we’ll have to continue the convo, making this part I of a two-part series. In this episode - part I - we talk about whether we’ve always considered ourselves entrepreneurs, we each share our own personal experience with becoming business owners, what the path looked like to get here, and we’ll even share one of the biggest challenges we’ve faced since starting a business.
Ambition. By definition, it means a strong desire to do or to achieve something, typically requiring determination and hard work. So, is it OK to be unambitious? In this episode we’ll share our own personal experiences when it comes to our levels of ambition, whether ambition comes with a negative connotation, and we’ll also share why on the surface, we don’t think it’s OK to be unambitious. Mentioned in this episode: Tony Robbins quote: “You are not a manager of circumstances, you’re the architect of your life’s experiences.” Another quote, unknown: “It’s not that I’m so into money; I’m just not that into poverty.”
Good habits aren’t always easy. Creating and sticking to them, all the while trying not to pick up bad habits… what’s the best way to manage it all? In this episode we’ll share our own personal experiences with building good habits - that actually stick - plus how we’ve ditched bad habits and what we do to get “back on track” after a vacation or rough patch.
Relationships are one of our top priorities, and we’re the first to admit that moving around a lot, traveling, changing jobs, having children - any number of things can make it a little tougher to maintain, nurture, and grow your relationships. In this episode we’ll share our own personal experiences with building - and keeping - important relationships in our lives, what it’s like to make new friends as we get older, and why we think the saying “you are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with” is something to really pay attention to.
Create a daily routine, stick to it, and excel in every area of your life! Sounds pretty great, but is it really that easy? Well, not exactly... In this episode we’ll share our own personal experiences when it comes to the power of a morning routine, what happens when our daily routines don’t go as planned, and how we get ourselves back on track after the unexpected happens.
Age is a funny thing. For some of us, our age determines a lot: how we dress, how we talk, the things we participate in, and how we think about what’s possible. But should it? In this episode we’ll share our own personal experiences with how we feel at our current age (Nicole at 43 and Kate at 38), what getting older feels (and looks) like for us, how age has changed our perspective on certain things, and - about death.
No matter how efficient we are, no matter how great of planners we are, and regardless of whether we have kids, a business, a job, are taking care of family members… We ALL know what it feels like to be OVERWHELMED. In this episode we’ll share our own personal experiences with what makes us feel overwhelmed, how we deal with overwhelm when it creeps up, and how we decide what to say yes to and what to say no to.
Confidence. It’s a sneaky thing. Struggles with confidence have been a part of our lives since… almost as long as we can remember! And we have a feeling that we’re not alone. In this episode we’ll share our own personal experiences and struggles with confidence, decision-making, and how we’ve built confidence in specific areas over time. Because when you put focus and effort towards improving something like confidence, anything is possible.
Putting yourself out there isn’t always a super comfortable thing, but for those of us running a business, we know it’s part of the package. In this episode we’ll share our own personal experiences with being vulnerable, (and what that actually means), plus share our perspectives on the question of sharing and how much is too much?
Every woman experiences it at some point in their lives - and for many of us, it’s a recurring question we ask at different stages of our lives. To start a family, or not to start a family? We understand that not every woman has this choice, and our hearts go out to those who struggle with infertility or who have suffered the loss of a child. In this episode we’ll share our own personal experiences grappling with this question, and how we each came to our own decision: one of us to not have children, and one of us to try to have children!
Nicole and Kate share what you can expect from tuning in every week to their conversations on life and business and everything in between.
